IEW Instructor

Wendy was a homeschooling mom for over 20 years, and has been a Certified Orton-Gillingham dyslexia tutor since April of 2018. Additionally, she has been a certified Equipping Minds Level 2 Mediator since 2022. She is passionate about helping students with learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia to learn in a way that makes sense to their brains. Since using IEW's history-based writing lessons with her own son, who has learning disabilities, she has fallen in love with IEW’s methodology, easy plus one scaffolding, and the explicit, systematic, and accumulative Structure and Style approach. Wendy believes every child can learn to become a successful writer using IEW's approach along with extra supports when learning disabilities make learning a bit more challenging.
